The power of Green continues to rise as facilities demand energy efficient architecture and systems to help qualify for LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certification and reap the environmental and cost benefits of lower power consumption. Powersoft, the makers of the most efficient power amplifiers, believes that efficient products should be the end result of a green manufacturing process.

“We at Powersoft believe that it is not enough to make a highly efficient power amplifier by using traditional energy and resource wasting manufacturing paradigms,” says Claudio Lastrucci, managing director of Powersoft. “We have made manufacturing partnerships with key, green conscious technology companies to ensure our green design philosophy begins with manufacturing.“

To this end, Powersoft has formed a manufacturing partnership with the MetaSystem Group S.p.A., a group of Italian companies that operate in the electronics field with a specific focus on the automotive, telematics, energy, photovoltaic, telecommunications and broadcasting sectors.

The MetaSystem Group member MW.FEP provides the manufacturing capabilities for Powersoft in San Giovanni, Persiceto for all K, Q, D, LD, LQ and QTU rack mount amplifiers and in Ronchi dei Legionari, Gorizia for all Powersoft amplifier modules. These plants feature solar cell production of electricity as a cornerstone of green manufacturing practices and have the most advanced automatic assembly, visual inspection systems and cutting-edge in-circuit testing equipment for efficient production.

“Powersoft prides itself on having touring and fixed installation industry representatives visit our facilities to see firsthand how we practice what we produce with our green design products,” Lastrucci continues. “Most recently, we were honored with a visit from Maryland Sound International. Powersoft’s green production facilities were the highlight of the visit by Maryland Sound International (MSI), prompting Kurt Springer, director of touring for MSI to comment, “I joined MSI because it continues to be on the leading edge of tour technology.
