Bars & Restaurants

Challenge

Bars and restaurants require uniform sound distribution throughout, the system must be adequately scaled to offer a comfortable listening experience, whilst still being able to rock a party if need be. These systems are often tasked to drive multiple loads with different impedance values.

Solution

Powersoft’s install dedicated amplifier platforms come in a wide range of power outputs and channel counts. When renovating a preexisting system, or starting from scratch, the integrator can choose the perfect pick, allowing him to tailor the sound to the specific needs of the space. Class D amplifiers are more than happy to drive different loads, enabling them to power speakers with impedances upwards from 2 Ohms, as well as 70/100 V distributed lines.

Application examples

Mezzo Series

System Overview:

In this small bar dedicated audio systems are in place for the seating area, bar area, and washrooms. Each of the systems is able to play any of the selected background music sources by using the source selection offered in MEZZO.  This system allows for flexible power sharing to FR loudspeakers in combination with subwoofer and Low-Z and Hi-Z ceiling mount loudspeakers. The integration of volume control and source selection offers flexible use of all spaces in this establishment.

Key Features:

  • Full power sharing allows for flexible use of sub-woofer, full-range, and high impendence loudspeakers
  • 4 Dante and 4 analog inputs on a 2 channel amplifier
  • Straight forward and cost-efficient source selection using GPI
  • Equipment can easily be placed in bar elements without the need for a dedicated rack.
  • Announcements can easily be integrated by Dante microphone offering input priority over background music sources

System Overview:

In this restaurant, the public areas comprise a waiting area/ reception, indoor dining, outdoor dining area and washrooms. Using one 4-channels MEZZO we are able to offer multiple source ground music playback combined with announcement/ paging. This system is able to mix and control up to 3 stereo play back channels in combination with a Dante enabled microphone. This ½ rack space, 1 RU solution can easily be installed on the host desk.

Key Features:

  • Full power sharing allows for the flexible use of low and high impendence loudspeakers.
  • Using the priority capability of Mezzo’s source selection, a Dante microphone can be used to provide all call functionality.
  • Analog volume control enables the user to control the zone’s local output to match the ambiance.
  • The compact size of Mezzo enables it to be mounted in a space constraint area like a reception desk.

Mezzo Series and Duecanali Series

System Overview:

In this sports bar and lounge Gym application, the system is divided into five zones with various music sources and paging. With the combination of Duecanali and Mezzo the analog inputs are converted to Dante and fed to all the other amplifiers. Analog wall controllers provide local volume control and source selection for each zone.  While Dante enabled wall boxes to allow for integration and switch over to external analog or Dante AUX sources.

Key Features:

  • Full power sharing allows for flexible use of sub-woofer, full-range, and high impendence loudspeakers
  • Straight forward and cost-efficient source selection using GPI
  • Equipment can easily be placed in bar elements without the need for a dedicated rack.
  • Seamless integration of Duecanali and Mezzo with one control surface.
  • Announcements can easily be integrated by Dante microphone offering input priority over background music sources
