Gobos Do Brasil Introduces New Powersoft X Series Amplifier

Florence (Italy), 10th December 2014 ? Gobos do Brasil recently organised a workshop at its São Bernardo do Campo headquarters in São Paulo, designed to launch the new Powersoft X Series amplifiers into the local market. Consisting of two models, the X4 and X8, the Italian manufacturer again promises to revolutionise the market by uniting an entire sound rack into single product architecture.

To fully demonstrate the potential of the equipment, and the technology behind it, the event was attended by Powersoft senior audio engineer Mario Di Cola, along with Fly Audio Solution owner Fabiano Rezende (Powersoft?s technical support factory in Brazil) and Gilberto Morejon, the brand's Commercial Manager for Latin America and Caribbean.

Esteban Risso, Commercial Director of Gobos do Brasil, introduced the event, before handing over to the company's Audio Manager, Valdinei ?Jaba? Vieira, who outlined the work of Powersoft. The brand has introduced a series of innovative products to the world of audio, increasing expectations with every step through stages such as the Digam-7000, released in 1995, the K10 and K20 in 2000, and the M Series in 2010. Sound engineer, Rezende, then went onto describe the ?energy? technologies included in the X8 model ? such as the Three Phase Load Balancing, Powersoft?s legendary Green Audio Power, as well as the energy balancing with PFC (power factor correction).

The demonstration of what the X8 and X4 can achieve through the application of Armonía software was handled by Mario di Cola. Via Armonía, the user can adjust any settings ? equaliser, limiter, matrix and crossover. Di Cola also showed how the tablets and smartphones can be used as displays for the unit, by simply connecting them through a wi-fi network generated by the amplifier, and how easy it is to check and control different configurations.

But Gobos do Brasil and Powersoft left the biggest surprise until the end. The team demonstrated how the device, which works single-phase, two-phase and three-phase, can go beyond the variation between 85VAC and 440VAC. The system connected in two phases received increased power load (220V to 250V) and from there power was gradually reduced until, at 30V, the X8 finally switched to protection mode.

Guests had the opportunity to ask questions about the new revolutionary series, such as security and maximum latency, and completed the day with a tour of Gobos do Brasil?s facilities, to learn more about the work undertaken by the company.
