Sao Paulo, Brazil. May 27th, 2016 -Celebrating its 20th edition, the Brazilian version of AES exhibition was carried out last May 17th to 19th at the Expo Center Norte in Sao Paulo.

Despite its reduced size, several international brands were present through local distributors, plus international representatives and a wide variety of professional audience looking for the latest news on the lighting and sound markets.

Universal Music (Powersoft distributor in Brazil) and River Music Pro (Universal Music’s main dealer for Powersoft in the country) gathered in their own booth to exhibit in this show for the first time.

“We had the chance of being in direct contact with many professionals in our industry, we exchanged ideas and we will use that information to focus our research on new products”, commented Jean Costa, CEO at Universal Music. “The trade show showed us that Brazil is at the same level than other developed markets, highlighting with a high technical knowledge level as well as professionals that are well-known all over the world”.

Gilberto Morejón, Powersoft regional sales manager for Latin America and the Caribbean, added: “The show was a little bit small, compared to past editions, but there was no difference in its quality

and the level of assistance. This year, visitors’ technical level was particularly high and demanding when asking for detailed information on the products we presented”.

Highlighted conference

Different representatives from Powersoft also traveled to Brazil to be part of the show. Besides Gilberto, Massimo Minardi (OEM and M-Systems Sales Manager), Fabrizio Bolsoni (Rack Amplifiers Sales Manager) and Claudio Lastrucci (R&D Director) were at hand to meet visitors and talk about the company’s products.

Claudio, specifically, was in charge of dictating a very interesting informative conference on the new M-Force, an innovative and unique transducer based on a patented moving magnet linear motor structure. Unbelievable performance in terms of power handling, electromagnetic conversion, reliability and maximum SPL are a few of the incredible innovative features and improvements with respect to conventional moving coil arrangement.

“Issues presented at the conference were of real interest reflected by the quantity of participants. After this lecture, many visitors came to the booth to ask direct questions, looking for an easier and more personal interaction and contact”, said Lastrucci.

“In fact, the M-Force sample was the most visited area. A lot of attraction, surprise and excitement shown by the audience were a constant characteristic in this part of the 40 sqm dedicated to exhibit the products of the brands represented by Universal Music”, added Gilberto.

People and products

There were also other international figures at the booth like Pierpaolo Marziali and Paola Riccò, CEO and area manager at Eighteen Sound, respectively.

Local company River Music Pro was represented by Jorge Correa together with other three members of its technical team, plus the presence of Fabiano Resende (Fly Solution) - Powersoft’s authorized service center coordinator in Brazil - and Marcelo Hermann (Energisom), one of the most important audio rental companies that uses Powersoft technology in its events.

Besides this, during the show, big national manufacturers, sound rental companies, installers and sound technicians also visited the booth. Some of them were Loudness, Tukasom, Sesc, Mauricio Pinto (Roupa Nova), Kalunga, Lage Som, Gabisom, Joao Américo, LS Audio, and Rosalfonso Bertoni (technical head of the Olympic Committee for Rio de Janeiro 2016), among many others.

“We had an excellent acceptance from all visitors. Powersoft - through Universal Music and River Music - brought to the trade show’s audience all of its rack amplifier lines and showed that it is already present in the Brazilian market offering a product that contains the highest technology our professionals deserve”, highlighted Jean.

Another tool showed from the Italian manufacturer was the Armonía Pro Audio Suite control software, which is already being widely used by local professionals to program and setup audio systems with Powersoft amplifiers.

“The Brazilian professional in the sound area already knows Armonía and we are happy to be able to provide and help our technicians with a high level and very efficient working tool that satisfies the operator’s needs”, explained Costa.

More future activities

After this successful show, Universal Music will focus on promoting more seminars and conferences, taking all the necessary information to clients so that they can visualize and learn on all the resources Powersoft products can offer.

“Our goal during this stage is to guarantee that we are working side by side with our clients, giving them all the support they deserve. I can already say we will be exhibiting once again at the next AES Brasil Expo in 2017!”, concluded Universal Music’s CEO.

More Powersoft’s training and products and technologies presentations will be announced soon.
