Powersoft and EAW enter into strategic partnership

15/06/10 - Powersoft and EAW® have announced a strategic partnership whereby Powersoft, as one of two amplifier brands, will integrate proprietary EAW DSP algorithms into K Series and Duecanali amplifiers equipped with Powersoft KDSP boards. The companies expect the EAW DSP integration to be complete in the 3rd quarter of 2010. Additionally, around the same time, an additional agreement is planned expanding the partnership to enable EAW to sell a selection of Powersoft's respective product lines as components in EAW system sales.

With numerous EAW systems already powered by Powersoft amplification, the partnership is set to further improve system performance, as well as to enable trade and users to easily access complete system packages.

"At the onset, the integration of EAW's lauded DSP, most notably Focusing?, will ensure seemless integration and optimum performance of EAW loudspeaker systems matched with Powersoft amplifiers," commented Jeffrey Cox, LOUD Technologies' Pro Audio Group VP. "And once the sales component of the partnership is implemented, EAW will proudly offer a range of amplifier solutions from one of the best in the business," added Cox.

The announcement was made at an EAW press conference during InfoComm 2010 in Las Vegas.
