CyVmusic carries out educative training on Powersoft technology in Chile

Iquique, Chile. June 27th, 2016 -CyVmusic Ltda., Powersoft’s distributor in Chile, created an important educative project to train students all over the country, through an alliance made with an educative corporation from the North of Iquique, home of different educative institutions and where CyVmusic has its headquarters.

The first training had the participation of students from the Colegio William Taylor high school, where they already have lessons on electronics. Together with the school’s directors and professors, CyV has created a hands-on workshop, highlighting technologies found in Powersoft’s amplifiers.

To do this, several visits to the company’s technical service were organized, carrying out an introduction to the latest technologies and showing face to face Powersoft amplifiers, their boards, components and spare parts, detailing how they can be used, how to detect errors and how to repare them.

The workshop is headed by electronic engineer Abel Cruz who, besides being the engineer in charge of CyV’s technical service, is an electronics professor in the educative cooperation involved in this project.

Carlos Lantadilla, CEO at CyVmusic Ltda., explains: “Actually, the project came up through Abel, who detected the lack of practical vision on electronic components that many students had, since most of their knowledge was just theoretical and based on the school’s educative program, which does not include learning on new technologies. Keeping this in mind, the idea of creating this hands-on workshop in our technical service was born”.

The initiative brought benefits to students indeed but also a great satisfaction for CyV’s staff. “It is very heart-warming for us to be able to provide this future generation with some knowledge, experiences and the motivation to get involved with the electronics field”, Carlos added.

“We really thank CyV! Our students were very happy with the chance the company gave them to access and learn on these latest technologies. The feelings that this brought to their hearts, like hope and incentive in this area, will be remembered forever”, highlighted Richard Leal Orellana, UTP Professional Technician’s Head at the Colegio Metodista William Taylor high school.

Having this successful first edition as a base, Powersoft’s distributor has already establish the realization of one workshop every Thursday, welcoming small groups of five or six students to be able to provide a more personal course.

During this first stage, they will continue training students from the Colegio William Taylor, but CyV is already programming workshops together with the Colegio Inglés and the Colegio Robert Johnson high schools, also based in Iquique.
