Equaphon Launches Sts Touring Series - Optimised By Powersoft

Florence (Italy), 20th January 2015? Equaphon Sistemas de Sonido, Powersoft?s distributor in Argentina, has developed and launched its new STS Touring System. This includes the Línea SLA V7 ? a powered line array system containing Powersoft DigiMod 3004PFC4 amplifier module kit with power factor correction plus DSP-4 processing board, along with a large heat sink.

According to Equaphon managing director Rubén Branca the reason for choosing this particular Powersoft solution was dependent on various factors including flexibility, reliability, low consumption ? and post sale support.

They also opted to have the set-up monitored though Armonía. ?Although it was not a design requirement, our audio designers considered it an important asset in setting-up and managing the complete system.

?In a fixed installation scenario it is vital to have equipment that will perform efficiently over time, as well as being cost effective because of its PFC technology.? This in turn provides the customer with a low cost of ownership ? and in conjunction with Ecler mixers, they believe that with the STS Touring Series they have a unique system.

The first system has been installed at a multi-purpose auditorium in the Santa Fe city of Sunchales for ATILRA, the workers association of the dairy industry. This CET Technological Training Centre (Centro Educativo Tecnológico) offers a wide range of possible presentations within a total area of 64.000 m².

?The Powersoft technology allows us to present different audio set-ups depending on the specific requirements,? continues Branca. ?For instance, we can set up for Theatre, Presentation or Conference (with translation cabins) as well as 3D movies, with audio surround system. The technicians are very happy with the flexibility that this system offers.?

The grand opening of the ATILRA Convention Center was marked by a big show. The system installed here comprised 12 STS Linea V5 line array elements per side, exclusively powered and optimised by ?Powersoft.
